In association with Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery

Coffs Harbour Regional Art Gallery hosted fifteen artists at Moonee Beach for a 9-day residency from 9-18 February 2016. Located at Moonee Beach on New South Wales’ mid-north coast, the site invited artists to respond openly to the dramatic coastal landscape and surrounding area. 

Artists-in-residence include: Elisabeth Cummings, Myfanwy Gulliver, Alan Daniel Jones, Ross Laurie, Steve Lopes, Euan Macleod, Idris Murphy, Chris O’Doherty (aka Reg Mombassa), Peter O’Doherty, Susan O’Doherty, Amanda Penrose-Hart, Adrienne Richards, Isabel Ricketts, Luke Sciberras and Ann Thomson.

A major group exhibition of works informed by Moonee Beach will be held at Coffs Harbour Regional Art Gallery, 30 September - 29 October 2016.


Yarrila Arts & Museum (YAM)

In 2022, Coffs Harbour Regional Art Gallery relocated and is now known as Yarrila Arts & Museum (YAM). Yarrila is the local Gumbaynggirr word for illuminate, brighten or illustrate.


Alan Daniel Jones

Alan Daniel Jones is an Australian contemporary visual artist. In 2000, Jones gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Sydney before furthering his education abroad as a recipient of the 2004 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship. Jones's work has won multiple awards and has been exhibited throughout Australia, the UK, and Asia.
