‘Corro’ acquisition

‘Corro’ has been acquired by the Macquarie University Art Collection.

Macquarie University Art Collection has acquired Alan Daniel Jones’ painting, ‘Corro’, of businessman and arts philanthropist Pat Corrigan. ‘Corro’ was a finalist in the prestigious 2013 Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This was the first year Jones’ work had been selected for the finalists’ exhibition of the Archibald. In 1997, Jones won the ‘Inaugural Pat Corrigan Travelling Scholarship for Painting’ as a graduate of the National Art School in Sydney.


Alan Daniel Jones

Alan Daniel Jones is an Australian contemporary visual artist. In 2000, Jones gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Sydney before furthering his education abroad as a recipient of the 2004 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship. Jones's work has won multiple awards and has been exhibited throughout Australia, the UK, and Asia.
