‘Olsen Gallery: 30 Year Celebration’ at Olsen Gallery
‘Painting 327 (Coopers Shoot)’, 2023, acrylic on board, 30.5cm x 30.5cm
30 Year Celebration
Thirty years ago this year, Tim Olsen opened his first official gallery. With the inanugural show opening on 20 June 1993 in the Elizabeth Street gallery, Tim moved to a larger space on Paddington Street and then to the current, architecturally designed site, on Jersey Road, Woollahra, in June 2007. With over 900 exhibitions both here and in New York, Tim's philosophy is still to support artists that embrace the traditional practice of drawing and painting as a timeless and pertinent medium together the emerging importance of photography and installation.
“I have gone about my life and work in art with the evolution of talented artists being paramount.”
Olsen Gallery is staging a major group exhibition of gallery artists to celebrate this milestone. All artists will contribute a work that is 30cm x 30cm.
