Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize - Highly Commended

‘Painting 263 (Mike Kenny Oval)’ was awarded Highly Commended at the 2019 Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize.

The Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize was won by Sam Leach.

The 2019 guest judges included:

  • Peter McKay (Curatorial Mannager of Australian Art, QAGOMA)

  • Dr Campbell Grey (Director of the University of Queensland Art Museum)

  • Ann Thomson (Artist)

  • Stuart Waddington (Tattersall’s Club Committee Member)

In 2019 the Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art prize celebrates its 30th year. Established in 1990, Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize is one of Australia’s most prestigious art awards. Valued at $30,000, the winning work joins the acclaimed Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize Collection. Since 2009, Encompass Africa has been proudly sponsoring the Tattersall’s Club Landscape Art Prize.


Alan Daniel Jones

Alan Daniel Jones is an Australian contemporary visual artist. In 2000, Jones gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Sydney before furthering his education abroad as a recipient of the 2004 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship. Jones's work has won multiple awards and has been exhibited throughout Australia, the UK, and Asia.
