Vincent Prize

Alan Daniel Jones won the 2022 Vincent Prize for his painting titled 'Painting 286 (My Octopus Teacher)'.

The Vincent Prize is sponsored and organised by Sean McElvogue and his dedicated team of art couriers at Art Van Go. It's a prize made by creatives for creatives.

A guest judge selects the Vincent Prize entries from Art Van Go's customers' works that didn't make selections for the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes held annually at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

The Vincent Prize includes four awards, including a Driver’s Choice, Runner-up, and People’s Choice ballot box for public voting.

Alan Daniel Jones

Alan Daniel Jones is an Australian contemporary visual artist. In 2000, Jones gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Sydney before furthering his education abroad as a recipient of the 2004 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship. Jones's work has won multiple awards and has been exhibited throughout Australia, the UK, and Asia.
